Born Free Safe and Smart Bottle

My daughter is expecting a baby in February. It’s her second and we, as a family, are looking forward to the new addition to our growing family.

Planning for a baby is far different now than it was 31 years ago when I had her. Times have transformed and we’re more concerned about the generation to follow than ever before! It’s about Mother Earth, but it’s also about awareness and how products influence not only our environment but our bodies. Born Free is a company that is a leader in this movement. Really, a leader: BornFree was the very first BPA-free baby product. When the BPA news first broke, BornFree baby bottles were the ONLY ones allowed on shelves in the US for two weeks.

When I received the package of  Born Free baby bottles, I have to admit I was a bit impressed by the packaging alone. A beautiful soft blue with dark blue feather accents most certainly attracted my eye. It’s a great logo!

My daughter is very active, riding ATVs in desert racing and staying fit for modeling. She carries these attitudes into her pregnancy and raising her son. She was particularly happy to see the 100% Bisphenol-A free plastic notice on the label on the front. Her kids have known allergies to some plastics and she’s read about BPA and loves that Born Free has her child’s safety in mind. She loves her baby won’t be contaminated by BPAs and the bottle design helps prevent the build-up of air caused by sucking.

The environment is extremely important to my daughter, who has created a non-profit organization called DC3, whose mission is to clean up the beautiful sand-dunes our family spends our free time playing on and around. Born Free is doing their part with a recycling program.

From the Born Free Website:

BornFree® will pay for postage. To return your BornFree® Bottle for recycling, just contact us at 1-877-WWW-BORN (877-999-2676) and one of our Support Team will guide you through the process. In Canada just return it to the store you bought it from.
In addition to the Born Free Baby Bottles, my daughter is looking forward to soothing her baby with the Born Free Pacifiers. As a Dental Assistant, by profession, she appreciates the orthodontic silicone pacifier and the angled nipple that encourages natural, healthy development of the palate. Like Born Free bottles, the pacifiers are made from materials that are 100% BPA-Free, phthalates, and PVC Free. Born Free also has added a transparent perforated shield to protect the baby’s sensitive skin from the build-up of moisture.

Older children (12 months and older) will appreciate the fun of the Born Free Straw Cup. Textured for easy grip it is truly a drink cup on the go. It has a hygienic twist top that tucks the straw down when not in use making it almost spillproof. It’s the perfect size for growing hands and compliments a child’s drink choice! It’s a great investment at just $7.99, making traveling or around the house an eco-friendly way to hydrate.
I would say that is resounding applause to the “Born Free” brand.

I received the items mentioned in this post in order to faciliate an honest review. NO other compensation was received. The opinions are my own and were in no way influenced by the sponsor. Others experience may vary.
