Today’s Best Recipe is Turtle Bites. Bite-sized fun with chocolate, ooey gooey caramel and pecans!
Turtle Bites are one of the easiest treats to make and they are fun for the kiddo to help!
Three ingredients are all you need to make these M&M Pretzel bites.
Rolos–
Caramel enveloped in chocolate. Look for the package that is unwrapped for easy, quick candy-making.
Pretzels–
We prefer the square pretzels. They fit the Rolo candy perfectly and are bite-size, but mini pretzels work well too.
Pecans–
We use one-half pecan for each Rolo candy.
Substitute:
For a delicious substitute, use M&Ms instead of pecans.
Try Hershey Kisses in place of the M&Ms.
Switch to Reese’s Pieces for a peanut butter flair.
How Easy Are These to Make?
The process is as simple as the ingredients.
Line the pretzels up on the baking sheet.
Top each pretzel with an unwrapped Rolo candy.
Place in oven, just long enough for the Rolo candy to soften (not melt).
Remove from oven.
Press one M&M into the softened Rolo.
Enjoy!
