Gallo Family Red Moscato Review

About Gallo Red Moscato

Pop the cork and be surprised by the fragrance. Its aromatics are amazing, with almonds and ginger almost dominating the citrus and green grape nuances.

Swirl it and then sip it through your lips for a fresh, fruity, semi-sweet taste explosion.

Moscato is a cousin to one of my favorite wines, spumante. This family of bubbles and light bodies does not disappoint.

No aging is required on Moscatos; they were intended to be consumed young, fresh, and vibrant. I love mine; well chilled. Pair with berries, summer salads, and peach or apple desserts. If it weren’t taboo, I’d drink a glass with a lemon-poppyseed muffin in the morning. Thankfully, muffins are good throughout the day and evening, so I can sneak in this pairing without shame!

While, to me, Moscato and desserts go hand in hand. And let me tell you, I know a thing or two about dessert; Moscato also pairs well with cheese, antipasto, and more. It is a versatile wine with lower alcohol.

Now that the weather is getting warmer, I’m ready for some Red Sangrias, and Gallo Family Red Moscato makes the perfect addition.
