Pottery Barn Kids 2011 Holiday Collection Unveiled Review

There’s something to be said about the holidays. It’s a time to reflect on the year as well as rekindle memories from years beyond this one; it’s also a time to gather around and carry on traditions and create memories that will spark the same warm feelings in the next generation.

When I was 18, I left Utah and went to Miami, Florida to be a nanny. Here I cared for an infant born into a Jewish home. That year I celebrated my first Hanukkah and was able to share my belief system of Christmas. It was a wonderful learning experience.

Pottery Barn Kids 2011 Holiday Collection will make this year magical as your family gathers to decorate your home, give gifts, and/or travel to be with loved ones. While this great collection is available online it’s also decking the shelves at a Pottery Barn Kids near you.

My kiddos keep adding pillow pets to their wish lists. This year they got something that I think is far more quality, adorable, and uber soft. Meet Pottery Barn Kids Polar Bear & Moose Pillows.

Pottery Barn Kids Polar Bear and Moose Pillow

They are perfect for over the hills and through the woods to Grandmother’s house or any travel destination. They are incredibly soft both to “pet” and to squeeze. I love the traditional twist and think they are the most adorable kids travel pillows ever!

Forget about traveling; it’s a great companion and pillow. The pillow easily transforms from pillow to friend with the ease of velcro. To prove their cuddly, each of these pillows can be stuffed into a backpack for a friend far away or a nap-time pillow.

I can’t decide which is more adorable the polar bear or the moose. They are both cuddly and the gingham addition to each really makes them festive.

When you’re looking for a plush gift item, please give them the gift of one of these pillows from Pottery Barn Kids. They’ll be giving you hugs and dreaming of sugarplums on them!

Other items that make the list for this holiday are:

For the Home:

o   Mantel Plush Décor: Fresh from the North Pole, Santa and his reindeer seek a happy spot by your hearth or tree. And our Snowman is there to greet them! The Mantel Plush Décor is fashioned of soft felt with jingle-bell collars and antlers that can be posed.
o   Hanging Metal Ornaments: Our metal ornaments are extra-big and bright for decorating an outdoor tree, hedge or fence. They are hand-painted in jubilant colors with a protective outdoor finish.
o   Candy Cane Stake Set: Our paper mâché candy canes are perfect for decorating the front porch or an outdoor tree.
o   Hanukkah Tablecloth, Tumbler, and Place Mat: Celebrate the Festival of Lights with our exclusive Hanukkah tabletop items. Our reusable settings make the kids’ table a festive spot. Re-created from hand-painted artwork, all pieces in the collection coordinate for easy mix-and-match layering.

Give a Gift:

We’ve collaborated with the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® Thanks and Giving® campaign to create Oatmeal™ the Bear, which has a scarf that can be personalized with your child’s name. For each bear that’s sold, we’ll donate 50% of the purchase price directly to St. Jude to help support the research and treatment for pediatric cancer and other life-threatening childhood diseases.
