Gallo Family Moscato is a wine that will appeal first to your eyes. Available in Rose, White and Red the colors are beautiful. I was sent the Gallo Family Red Moscato to share my honest opinion with my readers.
Pop the cork and be surprised by the fragrance. It’s aromatics are amazing with almonds, ginger that almost dminate the citrus and green grape nuances.
Swirl it and then sip it through your lips for a fresh, fruity semi-sweet taste explosion.
Moscato is a cousin to one of my favorite wines, spumanti. This family of bubbles and light body does not disappoint.
No aging required on Moscatos, the were intended to be consumed young, fresh and vibrant. I love mine well chilled.Pair with berries, summer salads, peach or apple desserts. If it wasn’t taboo, I’d drink a glass in the morning with a lemon-poppyseed muffin. Thankfully, muffins are good throughout the day and evening so I can sneak in this pairing without shame!
While, to me, Moscato and desserts go hand in hand. And let me tell you, I know a thing or two about dessert, Moscato also pairs well with cheese, antipasto and more. It is a versatile wine with lower alcohol.
Now that the weather is getting warmer, I’m ready for some Red Sangrias and Gallo Family Red Moscato makes the perfect addition.
