Pure Coconut sugar is becoming one of my favorite ingredients in baking. Pure coconut sugar is derived from coconut nectar and harvested from the coconut flower buds. It has a delicious flavor–sweet with just a hint of coconut.
Cocobrio has created a lovely gift basket for anyone who loves sugar–pure coconut sugar.

The set is fun with a mason jar filled with 1/2 pound of pure organic coconut sugar and then a cute box containing 24 individual sugar sachets. There is detail in this basket, with colorful twine tied around the individual sugar sachets, shredded, bright yellow, paper for the filler and a mason jar with simple branding.

I love baking with this sugar…the basket also includes a recipe for cocobrios Gluten-Free Belian Waffles. with a Macerated Strawberry topping. Yum!
- WAFFLES:
- 2 cups gluten-free flour
- 3/4 cup Cocobrio Organic Pure Coconut Sugar
- 3-1/2 tsp baking powder
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1-12 cups milk
- 1 cup melted butter
- MACERATED STRAWBERRIES
- 1 pound strawberries
- 4 TBSP Cocobrio Organic Pure Coconut Sugar
- WAFFLES:
- Combine flour, sugar and baking powder in a large mixing bowl.
- Lightly beat the egg yolks in a large mixing bowl.
- Lightly beat the egg yolks in a separate bowl.
- Add milk and butter.
- Mix well.
- Add into the dry ingredients bowl and mix well.
- Beat the egg whites and pour into batter.
- Fold over batter.
- Bake in a pre-heated waffle maker for 5-6 minutes or until golden brown.
- MACERATED STRAWBERRIES
- Stir the sugar and strawberries in a medium bowl.
- Leave at room temperature for at least 30 minutes until the juices come out.
