Review: Halloween Googly Bands

No Tricks, Just Treats in the Bag

My Li’l Witches and Vampire

Fall festivities abound and Halloween is such a climactic part of the celebration of my favorite season. There is so much excitement picking out the perfect costume and traipsing through the neighborhood watching all the little goblins ascend stairs and shout the glorious, “Trick or Treat”! A recap of the adventure and sorting through the pillowcase of treats is part of the process. While candy makes my children giddy I love when someone provides an alternative. After seeing my children’s response to the Halloween Googly Bands I think we’ve found our option!

My children love Googly Bands! They busted into the bag and then it became a “dibs” session on the individually wrapped bands. One wanted them all for her class, another has some “special friends that would appreciate these” and another just wanted them all to himself!

If you haven’t heard about Googly Bands, they are fun-shaped and colorful rubber bands that are worn as bracelets, collected, and traded.  This year Googly Bands launched the Halloween theme complete with a decorative package that makes handing these out part of the fun! Available in individual packs of twelve bands for a dollar or, my preferred packaging, Treat Packs–just like those Treat Bags of candy, the Googly Bands Halloween Treat Pack comes with 18 individual packages, each package containing three bands. We received a Googly Bands Treat bag for review and after all that “dibbing” we elected to share them with our Kid Date to the Witch Festival. It is an event my children look forward to each year. Dressing up as witches and vampires and then walking the village hunting for the witches on display. It’s a great celebration. We invited little friends and as we gathered in the parking lot before our Hide-and-Seek-a-Witch began, my children shared the Halloween Googly Bands! The party would have been complete right here. They opened their packages and everyone was squealing what shape they got and bargaining for a different shape. It was beautiful!
