Polka Dot Pots at Wilderness at the Smokies

I was in no way compensated for this post. All opinions are my own.

Way back in sixth grade, I remember an extra-curricular class of ceramics. Here I learned to clean, paint and create ceramics. I loved it!

During our stay at Wilderness at the Smokies River Lodge, there was plenty to do with the Adventure Forest and Waterpark, but one afternoon, Miss M and I just decided we were going to relax and do something as Mommy and Daughter. We headed down to Polka Dot Pots.

Polka Dot Pots

This was one of the best afternoons I have ever spent with Miss M.

Polka Dot Pots is located on the lobby level of River Lodge. Just a short walk from our room. We visited the shop several times before we committed. Mostly, we needed time to select our piece to paint.

Once we picked out our pieces. We were given some basic instruction and turned loose. We picked out our paint, put it on our pallets. Gathered our tools and brushes and sat at a table, ready to work.

We both picked turtles!

We sat there talking and just relaxing as we painted our pieces.

The great thing about Polka Dot Pots is while we were creating, we were also making a one-of-a-kind souvenir to remember this vacation with forever.

I was really impressed by how careful Miss M was–she really took her time, thought out her colors, and made sure to coat it all at least three times.

The next morning, after we checked out of the hotel, we stopped by Polka Dot Pots to pick up our pieces!
