Sick just got real.TM“This post has been sponsored by Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. All thoughts and reviews are my own.”
As a parent, you know that there are many hats worn to keep up with the greatest balancing act of all-time. It seems the bigger my kiddos are, the more crammed our calendar becomes. It started when they were small with playdates, library trips and we’ve progressed to sports, late nights, early morning wake ups and running from one county to the next to get things done.
Just when you think you have a well-oiled machine, Sick just got real.TM
It’s that moment when it all needs to come to a screeching halt but it simply cannot. The Pfizer Pediatric team understands that mom NEVER stops. We forfeit “me” time to ensure everyone has their “we” time. Breaks are few, and that sickness creeps in at the least opportune time.
As part of their campaign, Children’s Advil®, Children’s Dimetapp® and Children’s Robitussin® invite you to view their video depicting a glimpse of what moms like you experience when their child is under the weather.
I’m cheering for parents everywhere. Sick kiddos are no fun.
One tip I have is when your child is down for a count, set up a “Sick Nightstand.” I want my kiddos to rest. I want my life to be simplified. PLEASE read directions and keep medicines out of reach of children–because there’s that whole story about how I lost mother of a year to a medicine overdose, thanks to my youngest.
It is important to remember to always read and keep the cartons for complete warnings and dosing information on Pfizer Pediatric Platform products and to use as directed.
For our “Sick Nightstand” I set out a basket with all their favorites. An audio book, the remote control, a favorite stuffed animal. I also keep a timer there to remind me when it’s time to administer a new dose of medicine. I keep a cup that I fill with water or an electrolyte beverage to maintain the child’s hydration.
This allows me to still keep up with other family members and responsibilities. I can put the medicine away and still have a reminder that they need to take their medication. The child can entertain themselves should they wake up without me being there.
Available at Target and other retailers nationwide, Pfizer Pediatric are easy to keep in stock.
I learned about Pfizer Pediatric products when my oldest was at the doctor for immunization shots. It’s what the nurse recommended to keep the fever down and keep us all happy. It’s been my go-to for 28 years.
I also found this Survey Reveals Top Misperceptions Parents Have When Managing Child’s Fever which has some great information.
