Plein Air Life Review

Plein Air Life is now among my favorite things. Creating natural body scrubs, gourmet lip balm, body sprays, and lotions, 100 percent soy candles, and cold process soap with Nature’s best ingredients and handmade it’s a product that doesn’t compromise!

Based out of Laguna, California Plein Air Life is a company focused on products that are good for the body, soul, and environment. I recently had the opportunity to try three of their products and my first impression was “Wow!” after using the products for almost two weeks, it was an accurate impression!

My item of choice was Plein Air Life’s Kona Body Scrub. Let’s not kid around, I LOVE coffee. The beauty world is catching on to my addiction claiming that caffeine can help tighten skin, reduce the visibility of cellulite and there are even eye rollers with caffeine to help reduce those bags! Plein Air Life took my coffee addiction and these claims to heart and created a sugar body scrub with a hardy dose of real Kona Coffee and coffee butter. We’re talking exfoliation and moisturizing bliss.  The first time I used it I fell in love in my shower. It was delicious. My skin was visibly moisturized, without a greasy slimy feel and it lasted all day long. I was really impressed when I took my socks off at the end of the day and my heels weren’t dried out! My husband, who dislikes coffee says it smells incredible and I love when he pulls me closer for a “sniff”.  I do get a craving for a cup of Joe when I rinse, as the water is the color of coffee! An 8oz jar of this heavenly scrub is $20!

We also received a Pineapple Cilantro 100 percent soy candle. If you haven’t used a soy candle, you should switch. Soy candles don’t leave a sooty residue. They burn clear and clean. One of the things about the Plein Air Glass Candles that I love is the fluted top. It really is a simplistic beauty that adds character whether the candle is being used or just on display. I was concerned when I read Cilantro as it is an herb my husband dislikes. I held my breath, but he took one whiff and thought it smelled incredible. When we lit it he said, “It smells a lot like Pina Colada“. I love that the candle is beautiful, fills the house with a pleasant scent, burns clean, and continues to burn night after night. Currently, the candles are retailing for only $20 (regularly $24). What a steal!

The third and final product we received was the Calming Lavender and Rosemary Oils Lip Balm. We are picky when it comes to our “lips” at this house. I like a balm that is not waxy or slickery and Plein Air Life lip balm captures the balance perfectly. My Li’l Man especially loves the smell and I love the power it has to heal and keep my lips smooth. This delightful lip balm retail for just $3.75.
