Nutrisystem Weigh In

After a 7 week plateau where the scale taunted and teased me with a five pound window and no loss or gain, it finally happened. I lost .5 pounds. It may not seem like a lot, but to me, it was worthy of a parade!

I stuck with Nutrisystem through thick and thin. In fact, I got a little too obsessed over the program. I was walking two miles five days a week. I increased my water. Nothing was working.
The dietitian suggested I “shake things up a bit” and so I was eating glazed chicken and wild rice for breakfast and chocolate muffins for dinner. I threw in two more miles to my exercise.
Nothing.
Then my grandma came over and as we were talking and I broke down and cried, “I’m stuck. I can’t make the scale move!” She simply said, “You want it too badly.”
She suggested I take a day off. “Don’t go hog-wild. Just focus on eating healthy and see what happens. It might take a day or two.”
I followed the advice of my elder. I was terrified! Remember what happened when I did this before? I gained weight. Not really the route I had planned after this diligent struggle.
Turns out, I can’t consume food like I use to. My stomach is tiny and it let’s me know when I am full!
I ate regular food with my family for two days and then jumped back on Nutrisystem. It worked! I’m down .5 pound and feeling proud of myself for the habits I have learned on Nutrisystem and my ability to put the fork down when I am full!
