Instant Pot Italian Marinara Sauce Recipe

It’s been months, and I am loving Instant Pot.

If you don’t have an Instant Pot yet, or want to buy one but not sure which model is right for you, this instant pot review is a good resource to help you with your purchase.

I’ve discovered I can put it on the patio and enjoy summer without heating up the house with an oven.

It creates some of our favorite Instant Pot Recipes.

This Instant Pot Italian Marinara Sauce Recipe is so easy, and my family loved it.

They wanted it again the next night!

Instant Pot Italian Marinara Sauce Recipe Ingredients:

2 (28 ounces) cans Italian San Marzano Tomatoes

1 medium sweet onion, coarsely chopped

6 cloves garlic, minced

2 Tbsp Olive Oil

Fresh basil, leaves stripped, stems discarded coarsely chopped

salt and pepper to taste

1 can tomato paste

Italian sausage, optional

grated cheese, optional

How to make Instant Pot Italian Marinara Sauce:

Hand crush tomatoes into a sieve over large bowl.

Gently squish with fingers to release juice.

Reserve juice and set aside.

Add olive oil to Instant Pot and add in onions and garlic.

Place in Instant Pot and use the saute setting stirring every now and again until onions are translucent.

Add everything (except the tomato paste) to the Instant Pot.

You will add the juice from the tomatoes back in here

Place the lid on the Instant Pot and cook on manual high for 3-minutes.

Allow to depressurize and then stir in tomato paste and serve over noodles.
