CATDOG: SEASON 1 – PART 1 POUNCES ITS WAY ONTO DVD

Long ago, I remember my two older boys sitting on the couch after school watching CATDOG. They thought it was hilarious watching CATDOG run in circles. Now, Season One is set to hit shelves on October 18. Shout! Factory launches the first ten episodes. The DVD follows the adventures of the feline-canine fraternal, conjoined twins Cat and Dog. Notorious for their love of irritating one another the adventure is done in true sibling rivalry.

My Li’l Man hand no idea about CatDog when I gave him the DVD to watch. He recognized immediately some of the voices in the all-star cast, particularly Tom Kenny (Sponge Bob Square Pants), and Jim Cummings (The Super Hero Squad Show). Another voice he couldn’t remember where he knew it from was that of Carlos Alazraqui (The Fairly Odd Parents).

Li’l Man sat and watched the entire DVD lauging out loud as the opposites try and do everyday activities. I snuggled with him and forgotten how very similar this show is to the Odd Couple my parents watched when I was little. Catm, is prim and proper while Dog is an untamed beast!

On the way to school, Li’l Man filled me in on how CatDog drive each other bonkers, but they are still very best friends…just like “me and Divine Miss M.”

Created by Petter Hannan, CatDog premiered on Nickelodeon in 1998 and ran four seasons, ending in 2001. Never before available in stores CatDog: Season One – Part One is a must have for fans of Nickelodeon, cartoon fanatics and DVD collectors, the two-disc DVD set has a suggested retail price of $19.93.
