CBD and Sleep – Does it Help?

Getting good quality sleep every night is essential. If you’re like most people, you’ve likely tried various solutions, from audiobooks to pillow spray. In many cases, you may have even stayed up all hours of the night, just trying to find a solution to get a good night’s rest. Then, you wake up in the morning feeling exhausted. Even if you get to bed early, you may find yourself tossing in bed all night, thinking about the previous day’s events. Many people don’t realize how old their mattress is, stopping them from getting the rest they need.

We are all guilty of not getting enough sleep and rest sometimes. However, there is a solution.

Many people have been using CBD oil for better quality sleep.

Cannabis has been used for many medicinal benefits since ancient times.

It has even been used in 1200 AD to help encourage sleep in China.

Now, in these modern times, many people still use cannabidiol or CBD to get a good night’s rest.

Do note that CBD or cannabidiol is only an extract of the marijuana plant that won’t make you feel high.

There is a new case series by a psychiatric clinic where they looked into the use of CBD to help encourage sleep and lower anxiety.

This report was done to determine if CBD can help a clinical population reduce anxiety and get better sleep.

One hundred three patients were tested and documented in this case series over many months.

Every patient assigned scores to their anxiety and sleep as they underwent a dosage of CBD.

After the first month, 79.2% of the tested patient’s scores lowered and remained lower throughout the entire case series.

In 66.7% of patients, their sleep scores improved, but it fluctuated over the study.

All of the patients, except three, tolerated the CBD treatment quite well.

The three who didn’t tolerate it well only had minor problems like fatigue.

CBD, which is naturally occurring, is safe to use according to Forbes and WHO (World Health Organization), and it does not have any bad effects on health.

As a result, using CBD at night can likely help you or be harmless.

Now, with that said, the case study results are certainly positive; however, more studies need to be done.
