Wild Woody Pigeon Forge Go-Karts at The Track
The Wild Woody Pigeon Forge go-kart track is a three-level wooden racing course at The Track where drivers climb more than three stories before racing through twists, turns, and an exciting downhill finish.
It was the favorite attraction during our family visit, and my kiddos loved the Wild Woody go-karts so much that they used their points to ride three times.

Wild Woody Pigeon Forge: What Is It?
The Wild Woody is The Track’s signature elevated go-kart attraction in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Instead of circling a flat racing course, drivers wind their way up a three-tiered wooden track, race through twists and turns, and then head back toward the ground for a thrilling finish.
It feels like a go-kart track and a small wooden roller coaster had a very energetic baby.
The Wild Woody was the attraction my kiddos chose after carefully studying all their options. With go-karts, arcade games, miniature golf, water rides, bumper cars, children’s rides, and thrill attractions competing for their attention, that was no small decision.
Once they finished their first race, however, there was no more debating. They immediately wanted to do it again.
Why Families Love the Wild Woody Go-Karts
The Wild Woody stands out because the race includes more than simply driving in circles. The rising track, wooden structure, sharp turns, changing elevation, and fast trip back down make every lap feel like a miniature adventure.
It is especially fun for families with older children and teens who enjoy friendly competition but may not be ready for—or interested in—a full-sized roller coaster.
- The track rises more than three stories above the ground.
- Drivers race through turns while climbing and descending.
- Single and double-occupant go-karts may be available.
- Families can compete without committing an entire day to a theme park.
- The attraction is easy to combine with other Pigeon Forge activities.
Ride rules, passenger requirements, operating schedules, and kart availability can change, so check The Track’s official Pigeon Forge information before your visit.

Our Wild Woody Go-Kart Experience
After considering every attraction at The Track, my kiddos chose the Wild Woody first. They climbed into their karts, headed onto the wooden course, and raced through the elevated twists and turns.
The Wild Woody features both single-rider and double-occupant karts, depending on current operations and rider requirements. Double karts can be helpful for a younger passenger who meets the applicable rules but is not ready to drive alone.
My kiddos had so much fun that they rode the Wild Woody three times.
Three times.
There were other attractions waiting, but apparently one trip around a three-story go-kart track was merely a practice lap.
How The Track Pigeon Forge Points Work
During our visit, The Track used a reloadable card that stored purchased points. Each attraction required a certain number of points, which were deducted when the card was scanned.
This system allowed us to choose the attractions the kids most wanted to experience rather than purchasing admission to everything. It also made it easier for them to decide whether they wanted to try several different activities or repeat one favorite ride.
Point packages, attraction costs, operating procedures, and included activities may change. Review the current Pigeon Forge attraction information before relying on an older point total or planning a specific number of rides.
Other Things to Do at The Track Pigeon Forge
The Wild Woody may be the headliner, but it is not the only family attraction at The Track.
Depending on current operations, families may find additional go-kart courses, miniature golf, arcade games, bumper-style attractions, thrill rides, water rides, and rides designed for younger children.
During our visit, the family attractions included:
- Several go-kart tracks for different ages and experience levels
- Blaster Boats
- Bumper cars
- Miniature golf
- An arcade
- Bungee jumping
- SkyFlyer
- Children’s rides in Kids Country
Attractions and operating schedules may vary by season, weather, maintenance, and location. The official My Pigeon Forge listing for The Track is another helpful place to review current visitor information.
Blaster Boats at The Track
After racing the Wild Woody, my kiddos had enough points remaining to ride the Blaster Boats.
This is not the attraction to choose when you need everyone to remain neat, dry, and ready for a formal family photograph.
Riders sit inside round motorized boats equipped with water blasters. The goal is exactly what children hope it will be: steer close enough to another boat to soak its occupants before they soak you.
My kiddos were the only two riders on the Blaster Boats during our turn, which gave them plenty of room to chase, circle, and target one another. They treated the empty ride area as their own personal sibling splash battle.

How Long Should You Spend at The Track?
We spent a little more than an hour at The Track. That gave the kiddos time to ride the Wild Woody three times and use their remaining points on the Blaster Boats.
Your visit could be shorter or much longer depending on:
- How many attractions your family wants to try
- Whether the kids repeat a favorite ride
- Current wait times
- The point package you purchase
- Whether you include miniature golf or arcade games
- The ages and interests of your children
The Track worked especially well as an activity between other plans. We enjoyed our rides and games, then continued to dinner without feeling as though we had committed the entire day to one attraction.

Tips for Visiting the Wild Woody With Kids
- Check rider requirements before promising a ride. Height, age, driver, and passenger rules may apply and can change.
- Wear secure shoes. Comfortable closed-toe or securely fastened shoes are a practical choice for walking between attractions.
- Tie back long hair. Secure loose hair and clothing before entering a go-kart.
- Check the weather. Outdoor rides may pause or close because of rain, lightning, or other conditions.
- Decide on a spending limit. A point-based system makes repeat rides tempting, especially once the children discover a favorite.
- Save Blaster Boats for last. Riders may get wet, so it is easier to enjoy them shortly before leaving or changing clothes.
- Bring a change of clothes. This is especially helpful when water attractions are part of the plan.
- Allow children to choose. Giving each child a chance to select an attraction can help avoid arguments over how to use the points.
Is the Wild Woody Worth Riding?
For our family, the Wild Woody was absolutely the highlight of The Track Pigeon Forge.
The kiddos loved the combination of racing, elevation, sharp turns, and friendly competition. The fact that they chose to ride it three times—despite having an entire recreation center of other possibilities—was the strongest review they could have given it.
It is a good choice for families looking for a memorable Pigeon Forge activity that can fit between sightseeing, shopping, meals, and other Smoky Mountains plans.
