Sunsweet D’Noir Prunes

Prunes. It’s not a pretty word. Even my 84 year old grandmother shivers as she recalls she and her sisters use to have to each day eat one prune for every year they were–seven years old equaled seven prunes. She remembers prunes as “brown balls of horror”.

Sunsweet Growers must have had the same experience as Grandma because they’ve harnessed Mother Nature and for 100 years have embraced prunes! Now they introduce a prune even grandma loves D’Noir Prunes. It took some negotiating with Grandma, and I assured her she would not have to eat one prune for every year she was–after all, I was going to want some too. She nibbled one and then popped another declaring them plump, sweet and delicious! I had to take them away from her so someone else could experience them.

D'licious D'Noir Prunes by Sunsweet

Sunsweet D’Noir Prunes are juicy and free of preservatives. They’re loaded with fiber and antioxidants, not to mention potassium, making them a Super Fruit like no other.

In celebration of D’Noir, Sunsweet recently launched the “Dare to D’Noir Challenge,” a Facebook-based video contest challenging prune lovers and prune skeptics alike to Dare to D’Noir and upload videos sharing what they think about the new product from now through June 17.  Five finalists will be selected and put to a public vote for a chance to win the grand prize of $5,000.

Prunes might get a bad rap, but only because the haters haven’t tried Sunsweet D’Noir Prunes and their deliciousness. Just ask Grandma!
