Sweetsation Therapy
Review

With six kiddos we have a variety of skin types. Some are normal, others sensitive. Some are dry. Some are oily. All, to me, are precious. Finding a product that appeals to the nature of all can be challenging. The more I read, the more I lean towards organic. Like most Moms, I’m also seeking non-toxic.

There’s a brand that meets my family’s needs and appeals to all ages. It’s Sweetsation Therapy. We love it!

We were sent the Sweetsation Therapy Yummi*Tummi Organic Baby Choco Butter and the Choco*Smooth Organic Lip and Face Balm. Both compliment each other and the smell sends my children drooling. They smell like delectable chocolate! I love that they smell like something a kiddo should smell like. Some of my lotions and creams are far too mature for my girls to wear and not something Li’l Man is interested in smelling like! Chocolate on the other hand, is universal!

 From the Sweetsation Therapy Website:

Yummi Tummi Organic Baby Choco Butter with Calendula- This chocolate resembling (not brown in color) Organic Butter has all of the nurturing goodness that baby’s skin will enjoy and also Mom’s will love to use it too. The combination of Cocoa Butter and Vanilla makes it smell just like chocolate, but please don’t confuse it with food, it’s not edible. This Choco Butter is designed with baby’s sensitive and dry skin in mind, it’s formula contains a combination of Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, and Essential Oils of Jojoba, Coconut, Argan, Kukui Nut, Tamanu, and Macadamia to care, nourish and repair dry skin as well as protect from irritations. It’s soft and gently pampering for after sun exposure. This butter is also rich in antioxidants and protects skin from free radicals that cause skin cancer.

Hands down this is the favorite product. It’s a must have when they get out of the bath. It makes the skin super soft and of course the smell is amazing. It has a silky, rich texture and is easily absorbed by all the different skin types at our home. I used it on some dry skin patches on my knees and was impressed by how soft it made me!

Yummi*Tummi Organic Baby Choco Butter comes in a 3.5 ounce push pump bottle and retails for just $17 through Sweetsation Therapy.
From the Sweetsation Therapy Website:

*Choco Smooch Organic Baby Lip and Face Balm- This luxury Choco Smooch baby lip and face balm comes in a jumbo size and is 5 times bigger than regular lip balm. It is very handy for those dry baby lips and cheeks especially during the colder time of the year. This Choco Smooch is enriched with Argan, Calendula, Macadamia and Sea Buckthorn, rich in Palmitoleic Acid, Omega 6, Omega 9, and Vitamin E. It will help revitalize and regenerate dry, chapped skin and bring softness to where it belongs. This balm smells like true chocolate, so moms and kids alike will love to use it. This balm also contains honey and is not recommended for use on babies 1 year or younger.
I’m about to admit to you my BAD Mommy moment. The Divine Miss M is my fairest complection child. When she was little you could literally see her veins and we called her “Powder”. You already know I’m a nut about sunscreen…and here’s where my BAD Mommy moment happened. I schmeared The Diveine Miss M in sunscreen and truly believed I had done my mitzvah. One hour later, she came inside complaining the side of her neck was hurting. I took one look and realized I had done a poor job of applying sunscreen. She was a crispy critter under her ear and a triangle of red (bright red) extended to her back ornating her. I applied cold compresses and then applied the Yummi Tummi Choco Butter and topped it off with the Choco*Smooch. It gave instant relief to her and took the heat and redness out of the sunburn. She didn’t even peel!  Both products contain Calendula, a natural remedy for sunburns, chafed skin and other skin irritations.

Sweetsation Therapy Choco*Smooth Organic Lip and Face Balm is a .75 ounce tube and has a suggested retail price of only $12.00, also through the Sweetsation Therapy Website.

Another thing I love about Sweetsation Therapy is it was created by a mom! From the Sweetsation Therapy website:

Being over 30 and just entering motherhood I was concerned with aging and other skin issues associated with pregnancy, just like any other woman. So one day, I lathered my usual age preventing night cream on my face before going to bed. At that point I believe I was 3 months along. It was one of those high end, smell good creams that promise to do all the miracles in the world to your face…… Next morning I received an email that notifies me every week what to look for and what to expect as your pregnancy progresses. It was in that fateful email I found out about all the harmful ingredients that are present in skin care products and should not be used during pregnancy and may harm the fetus inside you; to the point of deformities and brain damage. In a state of panic I rushed to the bathroom and frantically started reading all the labels on all my “pregnancy”creams and lotions that I was religiously putting on myself daily. Needless to say but all of them contained a “no-no” ingredient(s) that I just read about. Including a major ‘no-no’ like Retinol and Fragrances, aka phthalate.

Working in the cosmetic industry for 20 years, for a few major brands, I couldn’t figure out WHY in the world it never crossed my mind before. At that point I thought, “Oh my God, I’ve harmed my baby……”. I suppose, I don’t have to mention that a state of panic was following me everywhere till the end of my pregnancy. That very morning I decided to put all my knowledge and experience to work and create my own skin care company that would manufacture everything a pregnant mom would need to take care of her skin, being 20+ or 30+ or even 40+, applied using a daily regimen, and therefore protecting her unborn baby.
