Review: Pure Silk Moisturizing Shaving Cream

Get Silky Smooth Legs with Pure Silk

The Holidays are here and for many of us this means getting dressed up. I love the occasional party that requires something more dressy than my standard casual style. Regardless of what I’m wearing I want smooth legs. I’ve been known to steal Hubby’s shaving cream, but now I have my own options, Pure Silk Moisturizing Shaving Cream.

For this review I selected the Coconut and Oat Flour scent and no one complained. It’s also available in Raspberry Mist, Plumeria, Sensitive Skin, Cherry Blossom, Melon Splash, Citrus Zest and also comes in a travel size. More important than the scent, Pure Silk represents its name impeccably. The lather leaves a soft, silky, wonderful feeling on your legs. I love how smooth my legs are after shaving with Pure Silk–I even challenged its no nicks with a disposable razor and was truly impressed!

The one thing my husband’s shaving cream has that Pure Silk does not is his lather is foamier and lasts a little longer.  I tend to be an overachiever and this doesn’t seem to have any effect on the performance of Pure Silk. In fact, after shaving one leg with Pure SIlk and the other with Hubby’s shaving cream, I found the Pure Silk leg to be far more soft and it didn’t lap up the lotion like the other leg, so it does moisturize.

Some other great thoughts on this product are that it comes in a rust-proof can. I love that I don’t have to worry about the infamous rust-ring left behind by some products. It also is slim so it fits in our hand comfortably without the added bulk. This 9.5 ounce net weight can is designed for our feminine side with patterns and colors that are appealing. Pure Silk also does NOT test on animals. That’s always a positive; right?!

I was impressed when I was at Walmart and saw Pure Silk on the shelf for a tad more than a dollar! I appreciate that and think the product is superior in its performance.

I received the item mentioned in this post from Pure Silk and Family Review Network. No other compensation was received. The opinions are my own and were in no way influenced by the sponsor. Others experience may vary.
