Stretchable, Bendable, Wearable and More!
There are moment when it is transparent that my kiddos are far more “hip” than I am. It’s true. I can admit it. Of course, I have no choice because this review is about Googly Bands, something I knew nothing about when I was asked to review them.
When the Googly Bands arrived, my grandmother was with me. We looked at the package and at the same time said, “THESE are what the fuss is about?” We just didn’t “get it”.
Enter kiddos. They saw the packages on the counter and exploded with, “I can’t believe you bought us these!” and “I’ve been SOooo wanting these!”
It’s unfortunate Grandma and I weren’t on camera because our facial expressions had to be priceless!
Googly Bands are the hottest trend out there. They are silicone bracelets on steroids!
Googly Bands have a variety of shapes that kiddos can trade and wear on their wrists as bracelets. When they come off, they mutate back into their original shape. It’s, indeed, pretty cool!
My children were crazy about the colors. All of them are vibrant and exaggerated hues of pinks, purples, yellows and greens.
We received the Sea Life and Instrument packages. My girls divided them up between them and Li’l Man and then they hit the sidewalk, eager to trade with their friends, whose parents are obviously more “in the know” than I am! They had a blast!
Now that I know what Googly Bands are, I wonder where I’ve been? I think I was still stuck on those slap bracelets in the 90s…
Googly Bands are available at Walmart, Toys R Us, Walgreens, Rite Aid and other local retailers nationwide. They average $1 and you can be sure they’re going fast! You’ll find them in eye-catching bags with bright graphics with each bag containing twelve colorful shaped Googly Bands.
There’s a design contest, you can learn more and enter on the Googly Bands website. The winner will receive a $50 gift card as well as the chance to design the next hot Googly Bands.
