Kids Deluxe Storm Trooper Costume Review
Most of the time Li’l Man stays close to home, but there are times when his imagination launches him into a galaxy far, far away. Most of his time is spent defending the good, but occasionally, he likes to shake things up and team up with the Dark Side. Like his brother before him, Li’l Man is all about Star Wars. He’s six and hasn’t quite taken the fun into obsession, but he enjoys bringing the movie’s scenes into our realm.
BuyStarWarsCostumes.com offers an incredible selection of Star Wars Costumes and must-have accessories for both adults and children. All the favorite Star Wars characters are ready to come to life. We’re talking Ahsoka, Boba Fett, C3PO Costumes, Chewbacca, Clone Trooper, Darth Maul, Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, Han Solo, Jabba the Hutt, Luke Skywalker, Obi Wan Kenobi, Princess Leia, Stormtrooper, Yoda Costumes and all the favorites in between!
Li’l Man spent some time deciding. He most likely called upon his Jedi strengths to choose only one. He wanted a costume that looked like the character, was durable enough for some very active play and could convince Mom that Star Wars was the way to go for Halloween.
His decision was made! He’d take the Kids Deluxe Stormtrooper Costume. It surprised me, though I suppose looking at it, it shouldn’t have because Li’l Man talks about being a soldier in everyday life. Why should it be any different in the Galaxy Far, Far Away?
Within a few days, his uniform to join the elite Imperial Stormtroopers arrived. He suited up, ready to work as a marine for the Imperial Navy under the leadership of the evil Sith Lord and Emperor Palpatine and the infamous Darth Vader.
As he suited up, he just kept going on about how “awesome this costume is!” A suited up it looked mighty realistic. He could move, and the costume moved with him. He could battle and there was no clanking or tears that in that moment he was ready for battle it broke. It’s a little big for him, but nothing he won’t grow into in the next few weeks!
The costume itself comes in three parts–the costume, which is the pants and shirt, and the helmet. The costume is a breathable polyester. There is an attached utility belt and padded vinyl chest and shoulder piece on the shirt–which Li’l Man is eager to fill. I love that the shirt has velcro closures up the back for easy in-and-out dress-up without the Force being with you. The pants have an elastic waist and vinyl accents and let’s just say I’m giving two thumbs up to the attached poly-foam boot tops that are built into the pants…this is Jedi brilliant!
Li’l Man’s favorite part of the costume is the helmet. It is a molded foam that secures with an elastic over the head. It is quite realistic and not as hot as some of the other masks we’ve had.
The costume is awesome; my only complaint is that it’s all Li’l Man wants to wear. It took forever to lure him back to Planet Earth last night and get him in pajamas, and before anyone else was up this morning, he was already reporting for Imperial Soldier duty! I love a costume that takes imagination on grand adventures!
Do you have a favorite Star Wars moment?
