From the cover to the pages of illustrations, Decked Out for Christmas! by Ethan Long is a colorfully detailed illustration that is engaging and fun. It’s sure to capture the attention of younger readers.

Each page of this board book has three words.

The story starts with a pile of boxes. “It’s time to decorate“.

Santa’s elves have been assigned decorating duty, and this story has the reader assisting and helping as they hang lights, candy canes and more!

It’s a simple story that will have the child wanting to hear it again and again. It’s a short book, so bedtime won’t be delayed, and this delightful Christmas tale is sure to have visions of sugar plums dancing in their head.

Decked Out for Christmas! Synopsis:

The mice at the North Pole are getting ready to deck the halls with all the essentials. They’ve got ornaments and twinkle lights, candy canes and popcorn garlands. One by one, the mice unpack all the merriest decorations, but soon the items become a bit unexpected. Hot cocoa? Fuzzy dice? A map? In a festive twist, it’s revealed that it’s not a tree the mice are decorating, but Santa’s sleigh, all decked out for Christmas Eve!

Ethan Long is an award-winning and internationally recognized author and illustrator of more than 65 children’s books as well as the creator of the Emmy-nominated series Tasty Time with ZeFronk on Playhouse Disney. Long won the 2013 Geisel Award for his picture book Up, Tall and High! He lives in Orlando, Florida.
