Mini-Sliders with Coca-Cola Caramelized Shallots Recipe Directions

Mix ground beef with onion powder, steak sauce, salt and black pepper.

Form into 12 small, even patties. Set aside.

Heat butter and oil together in medium skillet over medium heat. When butter is melted, stir in shallots.

Cook until just beginning to caramelize, then add Coca-Cola.

Increase heat to medium-high and cook liquid about 4-minutes, until liquid has almost evaporated

Return to low heat and continue cooking until fully caramelized (watch the shallots carefully so they do not burn).

While shallots are cooking, cook burgers in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat approximately 3-minutes on each side. Top each patty with a slice of cheese, if using cheese.

Fill each bun with a burger and a heaping pile of shallots.
