20 Clove Garlic Chicken with Gravy Recipe Ingredients:

2 Tbsp. Olive Oil

6-8 pieces of chicken (we like thighs with bone in and skin on)

20 cloves of garlic, separated and peeled

2 Tbsp flour

salt and pepper, to taste

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup white wine

1 tsp fresh thyme

2 Tbsp butter

How to Make 20 Clove Garlic Chicken with Gravy

  1. Heat oven to 400-degrees Fahrenheit
  2. In an oven safe pot, with a lid, heat the oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Rinse and pat dry the chicken using a paper towel.
  4. Add salt and pepper to the chicken
  5. Cook chicken in oil until browned–about 4 minutes on each side.
  6. Remove chicken to plate and allow to cool
  7. Reduce the heat to medium, add the garlic and cook, stirring constantly until garlic begins to brown.
  8. Sprinkle flour over garlic and stir.
  9. Return chicken to the pan and cover
  10. Place the pan in the oven and let bake for 15-minutes.
  11. Remove the pot from the oven and return to burner.
  12. Remove chicken from pan.
  13. Over medium heat whisk in the wine and allow to simmer for 1 minute
  14. Whisk in chicken broth
  15. Add thyme and salt and pepper to taste.
  16. Reduce heat and simmer until gravy thickens.
  17. Remove pan from burner and add butter.
  18. Add more salt and pepper if desired.
  19. Add chicken back to pot and heat on medium until chicken is warm.
