What Would I Do For Love?

Valentine’s Day is the most romantic day of the year. As I help my children seek out the perfect Valentine Cards for those they love, I can’t help but reflect on what I would do for love. I’m a romantic heart. I love to shower those I love with tokens of my devotion. Here are a few of the things I would do all over again for love.

what would I do for love

  • Spend my sixteenth and seventeenth summer visiting a boy. He taught me about love, about passion and myself.
  • I’d drive two hours every other weekend just to check in and make sure someone was okay and listen to them.
  • I’d rent my womb to five unruly tenants (one at a time) and do stretchmarks and weight gain all over again just to hold them in my arms!
  • I’d drive across the country to surprise my mom and tell her how much I love her and that I am so thankful for the many Valentine’s she helped me make through the years.
  • I’d befriend Jen Lyon all over again in fourth grade because she is the only person to have ever made me a Valentine and then knock and run, surprising me!
  • For love, I’d take more chances, dream bigger dreams and never give up on Happily Ever After.

This year, for love, I’m celebrating its triumph over its heartbreaks. I’m crying tears of joy for the heartbreaks because they are what have truly made me realize the beauty of love and its worth! Love is more than finding the perfect partner for love, sometimes it is learning to love ourselves.

The Good Men Project shares 5 things we should never do for love.

This year we’re shopping Tiny Prints to make our love known.

This post is part of a Global Influence Campaign. I will receive Tiny Prints cards in exchange for this post. The opinions expressed are my own and were in no way influenced by the sponsor. Others experiences may vary.
