#StarWarsRebelsEvent – An Epic Star Wars Experience with Vanessa Marshall

The #StarWarsRebelsEvent was the one my children were the most excited for me to attend! From the Hilton Garden Inn, we met in the lobby and walked one block to the Loews Hollywood Hotel.
I didn’t know what to expect. After taking the elevator to the restaurant level, we wound our way to Preston’s Restaurant. Standing in front of etched glass doors, we were suddenly transported to a galaxy far, far away when they opened—greeted by Stormtroopers!
Inside, we met everyone’s favorite droid—R2D2!
And with him was the newest droid on the block: Chopper. Known for his sass and unique personality, Chopper plays a vital role in the Ghost crew on the new Star Wars animated series. He may be made of repurposed parts, but his spirit is pure rebellion.
But the true star of the event? Vanessa Marshall, the voice behind Hera.
Meet Vanessa Marshall
Vanessa is energetic, kind, and a captivating storyteller. You might recognize her voice from shows like Ben 10, Johnny Bravo, and What’s New, Scooby-Doo?. Daughter of John Marshall (news reporter) and Joan Van Ark (of Knots Landing fame), Vanessa shared amusing stories about growing up with her iconic mom.
She co-founded Marsh-Kish Production with ex-husband Andrew Kishino, also a voice actor. Fun fact: both Vanessa and Joan Van Ark voiced lead roles in The Spectacular Spider-Man series!
Special Presentation and Sneak Peeks
After mingling with characters and droids, we were invited to a presentation with Vanessa Marshall, who introduced us to exclusive clips from the new series and answered fan questions.
We also saw an extended trailer and character spotlights from Star Wars Rebels.
Final Thoughts
Star Wars Rebels is set to be a major hit and debuts this summer on Disney XD! From Stormtroopers to sneak peeks, the #StarWarsRebelsEvent was an unforgettable adventure into the Star Wars universe!
