Tonight at 10pm ET catch Mistresses on ABC. Don’t let the name fool you, this show isn’t about cheating husbands and wives. Well, I suppose the story probably started that way, but those decisions have lead us to where we are now: the storyline of the hit drama series, Mistresses. It is the unfolding of those choices, the hurt, the betrayal, the self-destruction and the path to rebuild lives.
Last month, I had the privilege of visiting the Mistresses set. It was like walking through giant doll houses and, after my binge watching of Season 1, sort of visiting four women whom I came to know. We shared secrets, hurt and moments that only girlfriends can know.
Maison Per La Mer. April Malloy bought it with her late husband’s (Paul Malloy’s) insurance check. It is her piece of rebuilding her life and starting over.
This is a shop that I would absolutely LOVE to shop at on a regular basis. It has an eclectic vibe with vibrant colors that make it like being engulfed in a rainbow. It is in this shop that we see a blooming romance start with April’s love interest, Richard, in Season 1.
This shop has a lot of girl time as the four fabulous friends meet up to talk and support one another.
I love the textiles that appear in Season 2 a lot…the fabrics are amazing and the prints incredibly fun!
Here’ is larger view of the store and the fun textiles available at April’s store:

There is such a selection. I love the bottles on this wall in the colors and the various shapes and sizes.

I’m sure this table has seated the fabulous four during one of their talks.

When April is not at her store, she can be found at home.

Here is her kitchen.
Lucy Malloy, April’s daughter, might just do a little homework at this desk. It may even be the desk we saw near the end of last week’s episode.
We also toured Savi’s home.

Perhaps the decorative key rack is symbolic of her relationships…the lion and the fleeing deer?
I would LOVE to blog from Savi’s home office.
Fire up the grill and meet on Savi’s patio for a down home BBQ!
Eat outside, or feast in her kitchen!
We’ll all take a nightcap in Savi’s living room!
After the studio tour, we joined Jes Maclellan and Justin Hartley on location where this happened:
