The Lunar Antics Presents: Boy, I’d Hate to be Made Our of that Stuff
Comic Book Review

The Lunar Antics Presents: Boy, I’d Hate to be Made Out of That Stuff! is a book of daily comic strips with unique commentary on us, Earthlings, and our society. It’s written by Robert Walters and takes the perspective of Aliens who are experiencing the same things that we as humans do. They have come to Earth to live with Professor Jones, a Music Professor, who borrows a radio telescope and ends up with the four Aliens living in his home.

The Aliens: Zeno, Zed, Linda, and Drusus are the Lunar Antics. Originally these four were Moon inhabitants but now find themselves on Earth poking fun at all our idiosyncrasies.

Walters got the idea for Lunar Antics when he realized there were really no other comic strips about aliens. One of the unique things about Walters’s writing style is that he keeps his strips and then after a span of at least thirty days, he goes back to see if he still finds the strip to be funny.

One of my favorite stips in the book was one about getting a Credit Card in the mail. I use to work for a big-name credit card company. Taking Supervisor calls from folks whose infants were sent a credit card still makes me shudder, but easily able to relate to the humor in the Lunar Antics Strip.

For further insight to this comic book, you can view samples of the comic strips and a video of The Lunar Antics Presents: Boy, I’d Hate to be Made Out of That Stuff visit The Lunar Antics website.

This comic book takes me back to the days when I looked forward to the Sunday paper and pulled out the comic section. I’m a sarcastic person, by nature, but Mr. Walter’s Aliens take the cake! You’ll find the humor in the Lunar Antics to be sarcastic. Admittedly, some of the humor in the comic strips went over my head.

I love that Mr. Walters takes everyday events and spins them to the point where you have to pause and take a moment to reflect on your own actions in that given situation.

For an out-of-this-world glimpse at human nature, Lunar Antics Presents Boy, I’d Hate to be Made Out of That Stuff!is available online at Amazon.
