Looking Ahead to 2011

Dreams and Plans for New Possibilities in My Life

#owntalk

As 2010 is wrapping up I can’t help but look back and see all the blessing that have bloomed for myself and my family. I am truly thankful. Always an optimist and looking forward, I am looking forward to 2011 and ready to live my best life.

I have many dreams and new possibilities being planted and I know if I nurture them and do my part they will come into fruition. As Father Time waves adios to this year and salutes the possibilities of 2011 I stand at the starting line ready for the journey.

2010 has blessed me with Nutrisystem and this has given me success and build my self-confidence. Already down 15 pounds, and weighing less than I have in over eight years, I know 2011 will help me reach my goal. I had nearly given up on the possibility of weighing something less than a whale. It’s been a struggle since I started having children and now I see the light. I know I can do this and the doors that will open for me are endless. I no longer will be judged based upon my weight, the size of my waist or the stereotype that I am lazy. The skinny me is surfacing and she is going to be amazing!

Amazon picked up my book, Centrifugal Motion. It’s being revised and the new revision will be an incredible story, based on true events and the life of one remarkable young man. It has been my dream since I was small to publish a book and now this is a milestone I will be able to cross off. I am looking forward to sharing my story and having the second in the series published before 2011 closes. Maybe 2011 will put Centrigual Motion on Oprah’s Book List…when I dream, I dare to dream BIG!

The Divine Miss M has progressed from School Level, to Council and on to Region in the PTA Reflections Contest. In January we attend the award ceremony and see if she advances. I am looking forward to this event. I am very proud of my children and their talents.

I’m looking forward to giving back to my community through volunteer work. I have volunteered at the Community co-op and hope to make time to do this more and include my children.

I see myself growing in all directions and discovering a better than me than I am today. I believe the woman I am meant to be is one of compassion, gratitude, joy, good health, good friendship, and the ability to lead by example.

Perhaps the woman I am destined to be is one that belongs on OWN: The New Oprah Winfrey Network New shows., New faces, New possibilities. Like the new me waiting to debut, this new multi-platform media company, designed to entertain, inform and inspire people to live their best lives premiers on January 1, 2011. Unlike me, OWN will be viewed to approximately 80 million homes on what is currently the Discovery Health Channel.

Who knows, I might just be the person OWN has inspired to live my best life!

I wrote this blog post while participating in the TwitterMoms and OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network blogging program, for a $50 gift card. For more information on how you can participate, click here.
