Just Kid Costumes Takes Us back to the 1950s

Dressing up for Halloween is one my kiddos favorite parts. It gives them the opportunity to pretend to be someone else, travel back in time or imagine a world that only exists within their mind.  Thanks to Just Kid Costumes, kiddos true identities can be concealed and at prices that won’t have mom and dad breaking the bank.

With over 3,000 costumes and accessories to choose from it might take some serious decision-making on whether this year they’ll be superheroes or Disney Princesses. The best part is all their costumes are kid-appropriate. There’s no thought of sexy kittens or bloody ghouls here.

My kiddos especially loved Just Kid Costumes’ Dress Up Room application. Simply upload your child’s photo and see how they look all dressed up! It’s loads of fun!

This Halloween we’re going back in time to the 1950’s.

The Beauty Queen in the Sock Hop Sally Costume

The Beauty Queen selected the Sock Hop Sally Costume from JustKidCostumes.com and when it arrived she swooned.

The costume is one piece, cleverly disguised as a shirt and skirt. Make of polyester it is soft and The Beauty Queen didn’t complain about any itching.

The top is a pink blouse with a poodle applique on the chest. It appears to button down, but really it’s all done with a zipper in the back. A black with pink polka-dot scarf ties off the outfit making it truly representative of the 1950s.

Musical Notes at a whimsical touch to the skirt

Musical Notes at a whimsical touch to the skirt

Musical notes add charm to the black with pink polka-dot skirt.  The shirt and the skirt are offset with a black belt complete with a belt that blings with the faux rhinestones. Layered under the skirt is a netting that gives the skirt body and just a tad longer than the skirt itself, allows a peek-a-boo lace ruffle. According to The Beauty Queen the best part is how full it is and how wide it goes when she’s twirling.
