How to Make Instant Pot Peach Dump Cake:

  1. Lightly grease a round baking pan or casserole dish that fits inside your Instant Pot.
  2. Pour the peaches into the prepared pan and use a knife to cut them in half. Sprinkle the cinnamon over the peaches and stir to combine.
  3. Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the peaches.
  4. Place the butter pieces evenly over the cake mix.
  5. Pour the water into the Instant Pot and place the trivet in the pot.
  6. Place the prepared baking dish on top of the trivet. Loosely cover the baking dish with a sheet of aluminum foil.
  7. Close the lid of the Instant Pot, set the vent to the sealing position, and select the “Pressure Cook” or “Manual” setting. Set the timer for 25 minutes.
  8. Once the cooking time is up, allow for a 5-minute natural release, then perform a quick release to release any remaining pressure.
  9. Carefully remove the lid and use oven mitts to lift the handles of the trivet to remove the baking dish from the Instant Pot. Remove the foil.
  10. Preheat your oven’s broiler. Place the peach cake in the oven and broil for about 5 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  11. Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool slightly before serving.

Helpful Tips:

  • For a thicker consistency, you can drain the juice from one can of peaches before using them in the recipe.
  • Serve the cake warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra special treat.

You might find it easier to use a Foil Sling:

Replace sets 6,7 and 8 above with these:

  1. Using a foil sling, place the baking dish onto the trivet in the Instant Pot. Cover with the Instant Pot lid, turn the vent to the sealing position, and select the “PRESSURE COOK” setting for 25 minutes.
  2. Once the cooking time is complete, allow a 5-minute natural release, then turn the valve to release any remaining pressure until the pin drops.
  3. Remove the lid, and carefully lift the trivet out of the pot using the foil sling.

Storage for Leftovers:

Store any leftover peach dump cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven before serving.
