ERGO Baby Carrier Review

There are a lot of baby carriers on the market. It’s difficult to make a long-term commitment when the baby is growing and the needs of carrying are in constant change. With the ERGO Baby Carrier, the problem is solved. It works to carry and support a new baby and allows the opportunity to grow with your child, up to 40 pounds.

We received an ERGO carrier in a stunning ocean blue. Out of the box, even my cynical husband was impressed. The ERGO carrier is made of heavy denim-like material with a soft cotton poplin lining. The feel of it is incredible!

With six kiddos you can be certain we’ve tried a LOT of baby carriers through the years.  We are familiar with the stress and strain on our lower backs and shoulder from carrying our children. We took our ERGO Baby carrier to our friends’ home and tried it out with their tot. It was amazing how comfortable we were! The ERGO Baby carrier equally distributed the child’s weight between the shoulders and hips. It was recognizable and not at all cumbersome.

We found so many ways to wear the ERGO Baby Carrier. My husband was impressed with the versatility.  It can be worn to carry your child upfront, on the side (hip), and on your back.  I preferred the position over my hip, while Dear Husband liked the back.

The ERGO carrier enabled us the freedom to remain active while still holding the baby secure to our body. It was wonderful to be Hands-Free and enjoy the company of our friends and family, while still allowing Baby to be interactive as well.

ERGO baby carriers are designed to support a natural sitting position for babies, eliminating compression of the spine and hips that can be caused by the unsupported suspension. That’s something a parent can feel good about, giving Baby a healthy start.

The selection of colors, prints, and organic materials leave opportunities for everyone. There is a color or pattern to match or coordinate with so many nursery or on-the-go themes.

My husband’s favorite feature was the sleep hood. This lightweight poplin hood comes out of the front pocket to cover the child’s head.  We used this during the day when the child fell asleep, but we weren’t ready to stop the activities. There was no concern about sunscreen or a hot blanket. The sleep hood was wonderful and didn’t cause the child to overheat or break into a sweat.

The ERGO Baby Carrier is easy to use and durable. We carried a 13-month-old, an 18-month-old, and our four-year-old, who weighs 46 pounds. It was just a slight adjustment to accommodate each child and we were back in business!

The ERGO Baby has a thick and comfortable waist belt that has neoprene foam. It didn’t gouge or create any discomfort at all. After wearing children for eight hours I am confident that the ERGO Baby Carrier is a quality product that relieves the stresses and strains other carriers I have used have placed on my neck, back, and shoulders.

The ERGO Baby Carrier requires an Heart2Heart insert for infants. This design helps promote healthy growth of the spine by supporting the pelvis, hip joins, and leg positions. It gives added cushion at the back and bottom to help support the natural curvature of the baby’s developing spine. It supports the baby’s head and neck.

Other features of the ERGO Baby Carrier include:
*Ergonomic design
*400 threads per inch cotton poplin lining and hood
*100% cotton batting in body of carrier to soften edges
