Edx Education Learning Toys Review

I received Edx Education Learning Toys and Math Manipulatives for review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Learning through play is a powerful element in child development. Edx Education Toys make it their philosophy to create learning through play toys that hold attention, entertain, and teach.

What is Educational Play?

Learning through play is a learning type that benefits children through increased curiosity and improved social skills.

It’s essential to child development while learning skills needed to succeed.

Educational play teaches children creativity, problem-solving, and how to interact with others.

Toys from Edx Education are fun, affordable, and teach through educational play.

The toys we received from Edx Education are math manipulatives.

These toys help teach math through hands-on play, where a child can explore and learn.

Rather than merely watching or listening to a lesson, Edx Education toys learn tactile, creating a more personal and profound understanding of math concepts.

In other words, math manipulatives help children problem-solve by making math FUN!

This repeated practice and “play” build a relationship between the problem and using math manipulatives to develop math fluency.

Engaging Children Through the Use of Manipulatives

Electronic devices are a prominent part of our environment.

Even the youngest children engage in electronic entertainment at some point during the day.

We use this instant entertainment so often that it contributes to shorter attention spans that carry over into classrooms.

Educators and parents need innovative ways to engage a child to gain a child’s attention and maintain focus for active learning.

Engaged Learning with Manipulatives

Innovative learning tools such as manipulatives can keep young children engaged.

Manipulatives require a child to move, build, order, turn, arrange, fit, count, and weigh.

Many activities can be independent, guided, or collaborative through manipulative learning.

Skill Benefits through the Use of Manipulatives

Decision Making: Which tools to use? Decide on the weight, height, length, shape, and size for sorting or building.

Exploration: creating sequencing patterns, ordering, textures, colors, and comparison.

Concentration and Perseverance: how to analyze and solve problems and the cause and effect.

Edx Education Linking Cubes –

These linking cubes are perfect for math concepts such as place value, measurement, and patterning.

Linking Cubes are one of the most popular math manipulatives as they visually demonstrate counting, grouping, adding, and taking away.

They are fun to snap together and can be used to create a measurement or number “trains.”

These 0.8-inch linking tubes are easily clicked when snapping together and pull apart with a soft pop.

There are no sharp edges.

They are larger than most competitor brands, making them easier to manipulate for small hands.

All six sides of the cubes snap together. This allows endless creation as the child can build up or out.

They are excellent tactile for fine motor skill development, creative play, and construction.

Children can use these to create buildings and other 3D creations.

They are also excellent for sorting, counting, problem-solving, and math, such as adding, subtracting, measurement, number problems, algebra, and geometry.
