We have been busy, busy, busy in South Carolina this week. We are finishing our homeschool year this week (I pray!) while enjoying the onset of summer. The girls had a ballet recital last weekend. We love Ballet Spartanburg. MES was in her first ever dance recital. She was so excited! She did an awesome job too. She galloped and skipped better than anyone else in her age group (I’m just a wee-bit biased!). Tween took two ballet classes this year, so she got to dance twice at her recital. She was beautiful. I’m amazed at how much she has grown since she did her first daddy-daughter dance at three!
And our third ballerina slept through it all in the Moby wrap. (Have I told you how much I love the Moby wrap?) Moby should put me on the payroll; I think I have sold at least five by wearing mine everywhere: the grocery store, dinner parties, and the ballet recital. It’s the best baby shower gift I received. It was the reason that my house is not packed in boxes still. I could unpack with both hands without worrying about dropping the baby or her head lolling back like babies heads tend to do in other carriers.
Anywho, the third ballerina is growing, growing, growing. She’ll be two months tomorrow! WOW! She has completely unfurled and she can hold her head pretty steady now. I’m amazed at how observant she is… while she is awake – which is more and more often now.
The boy finished his first year of Cub Scouts. He graduated from the Wolf to the Bear. He has a lot of patches and such that I get to sew onto his uniform. I am going to wait until he grows during the summer because, apparently, Mom has to remove all of those patches and put them on the new shirt each year? I get this information second-hand from my hubby who sometimes doesn’t listen to everything being said. {sigh}
Clara will be receiving the Holy Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation at the end of June. I am thrilled. We receive our sacraments at a wonderful Maronite Catholic Church that we are blessed to have in the Upstate.
So, that’s my life in a nutshell this week. I am hoping to sew a little if I can get Clara to sleep in her crib a little at night. I think she is almost old enough to begin putting her on a night-time sleep schedule instead of sleeping in my lap until I go to bed. Wish us luck on this venture. I am never very good at letting them *cry it out*. Enjoy the pictures!
