The Blarney Banner–When Ireland’s Too Far to Go! Review

build a signIt all started with a birthday celebration and now BuildaSign.com has given us a Blarney Banner to celebrate a day when we all become Irish! Their custom banners just keep giving us new traditions. You may recall our Birthday Banners–they’re still a ginormous hit with the kiddos eager to write their name and year on the banner–and look back at their signature from the year before.   They truly amped up the celebration and projected a whimsical, elegant centerpiece for our guest of honor.

Our Blarney Banner–go ahead, make a wish and kiss it!

Recently we were given the opportunity to review Build A Sign’s custom banners and the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day gave us inspiration. We have been reading about the Blarney Stone in Ireland. While we aren’t fortunate to visit it to give it a kiss and make a wish, we saw no reason from stopping this from the magic. We decided to create a banner and treat it like our personal Blarney Stone, even calling it our Blarney Banner.

Buildasign.com has the easiest creation template I’ve ever used. You select the style and size you want and then upload your picture. You can add text, which goes beyond your standard four generic fonts. You can manipulate the color of the text and background. We had SO much fun creating the banners. It was easy and didn’t leave me frustrated or feeling like I really needed to tweak up my tech skills.

We uploaded a picture of the kiddos dressed in their lucky green. We added a green background. Then we found a green shamrock in the clip art section of the Buildasign site and added text to read, “Happy St. Patty’s Day!”.

We clicked through checkout–easy!

Then a few days later it arrived. I put it in the kitchen–it’s ginormous!

When the kiddos came home from school they giggled and laughed and thought it was so cool! We have gotten so many compliments from grandparents, neighbors, and friends. It’s impressive.

For us, this was just half the fun. The other half rests in making a wish and kissing the corner of the Blarney Banner! While we can’t say wishes are truly granted in this form of entertainment we can attest to the fun! I think that makes us pretty “Lucky”.
