Breyers, Popsicle and Klondike Making Summer a Bit More Delicious

We’ve been talking about crazy weather all Summer. We typically live in a dry, hot desert. This summer it has been humid and extremely hot. The humidity is abnormal and does not work well with the traditional cooling device of the desert known as the swamp cooler.

Thankfully there’s treats to keep us cool. Ice Cream anyone? Breyers Ice Cream has been one of my favorite brands since the early 1990s. We use to hang out with an amazing couple named the “Breyers” and they took the brand personally. They’re freezer was stocked with creamy, natural, delciousness. That’s when the addiction began. Quite possibly the best ice cream. The Divine Miss M and I like ours to be Mint Chocolate Chip. At first it confused her because Breyers ice cream is not doused in green coloring. Looks can be deceiving but taste cannot. It’s amazing ice cream. Now Breyers tempts us more with Breyers Blasts–think Breyers ice cream mixed with your favorite cookie and candy brands. We tried the Waffle Cone and are heading back for the Whoppers, Mrs. Fields, Snickers and eight more amazing varieties! It’s like the best candy/ice cream aisle on the planet.

Do you dream of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups…we’re wanting to try the new Reese’s Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cups. Doesn’t the name just sound like something you need to dive right into? Heck yeah!

And, while I’m never going to reveal exactly what it is I’d do for a Klondike bar, I can tell you that with the new Mint Chocolate Chip Klondike Bar, I’m willing to do it even more extreme. It was the late 1980s, while I was a Nanny in Ohio that I encountered my first Klondike bar. It was heaven with the hard chocolate shell enveloping creamy ice cream. Oh, my! There were some with nuts, some with toffee and now, there’s one with Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. H-e-a-v-e-n! Oh, and there’s also Choco Taco and What the Fudge? Makes you reconsider what you’d do for a Klondike bar; doesn’t it?

Popsicle’s Jolly Rancher

While ice cream in any form rocks my socks, my kiddos love Popsicle. Not just generic popsicles, they are specific that it must be POPSICLE popsicles. It’s a tradition. I ranked Super Mom status when I arrived home with Popsicle Jolly Rancher Awesome Twosome.  Even my husband was in the freezer getting himself some frozen goodness!  They ate the whole box one night while I was out and hubby called to ask if I could pick up more! They are that good! If Jolly Ranchers aren’t your thing, try the new Popsicle Airheads!

*I received coupons to try the new Unilever brands of frozen treats in order to facilitate an honest review. The opinions are my own and were in no way influenced by the sponsor. Others experiences may vary.
