Wild Oats Chicken, Mushrooms, and Wine

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 2 hours (high) or 6 hours (low)

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 1 cup Wild Oats Chicken Broth
  • 1 cup Wine (red works best, or white. Substitute with grape juice, if you like)
  • 32 pearl onions, frozen
  • 16 oz. mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 Tablespoons Wild Oats tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp Wild Oats Dried Rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp Wild Oats Dried Thyme
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil

How to Make Wild Oats Chicken, Mushrooms, and Wine

  1. In a Zip-loc bag, combine flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Add chicken tenders to the bag of flour and seasoning, then shake to coat the chicken evenly.
  3. Add olive oil to the bottom of the slow cooker and spread it out to cover the pot.
  4. Place the coated chicken tenders in the slow cooker.
  5. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the Wild Oats Chicken Broth, wine (or grape juice), and Wild Oats tomato paste. Stir until the mixture is well blended.
  6. Pour the broth mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
