Elephant Measurements–Learning to Measure

My children have all loved this activity.
It teaches measurement and allows them to use their imagination.
It’s simple and requires very little preparation.

You will need:

elephant measuring tape

The Elephant Measuring Tape (you may want to make several copies and tape them together for “larger” measurement”).

The longer the more elephants they can measure things with.

The Elephant Measurement Booklet

Have the child measure the items in The Elephant Measurement Booklet and record how many “elephants” long the item is.

Then encourage them to add pages to their booklet, or just measure other items in their environment.
