How to Make a Parmesan Basket

This Parmesan Basket recipe creates delicate, lacy edges with thin, crisp edges and, of course, it’s delicious to eat! We’ll guide you through how to make a parmesan basket.

We love these cheese baskets with soft textures such as lettuces with acidic vinaigrette.

And this may be one of the only times I recommend the inexpensive shredded (not grated) Parmesan–you know, the kind in the bag at the deli.

The best part is it’s easy.

So easy!

You will also love the fact that the only ingredient here is Parmesan Cheese.

A 10-inch nonstick skillet and a glass are also needed.

How to Make a Parmesan Basket:

Over medium-high heat, get a 10-inch nonstick frying pan hot, about two minutes.

Once the pan is hot, sprinkle shredded Parmesan into a disk shape–start in the center of the pan and sprinkle lighter towards the edges, so they are lacy.

When the disk underside is slightly golden, carefully remove the cheese disk using a spatula and your fingers.

Immediately drape the cheese disk over a glass, golden side up, and press gently to form the shape of the bowl.

Allow to cool, and then fill and serve.

Note: Once cooled, the Parmesan Baskets can sit for several hours before serving.
