The Gathering of Friends Cookbooks-Because Love Tastes So Good!

Doesn’t food just say, “I love you” in so many ways? Christmas is right around the corner and the entertaining is on the list. Whether your entertaining a crowd or just putting a celebration together for your family, The Gathering of Friends Cookbooks is the perfect answer to it all:

I was invited to a cooking event with Michelle Huxtable at my family’s favorite place, Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, Utah. I love the cooking events but this one captured my heart.

Michelle Huxtable is the author of the cookbook series,  “The Gathering of Friends” Cookbooks.  Michelle Huxtable speaks my launguage food. She understands that it means more than just something on a plate. It’s how she shows her love and let me tell you, her love is delicious!

This creamy tomato soup recipe was so easy and had so much flavor that I stopped on the way home from the event to buy the ingredients. It’s what we had for dinner. My family absolutely LOVES this meal.

Next up was an incredible Oriental Chicken Salad. It had so many textures and tastes that it was sinfully tasty.

Michelle Huxtable may be bringing back the beauty of food. With each recipe containing seldom more than six ingredients (and they’re everyday ingredients, not some hunt-it-down ingredient. It’s amazing food, simple recipes and a beautiful result.

My traditional cookbook complaint, “needs more photos”, won’t be heard in this review. EVERY recipe is featured with a color photo. In fact, her new cookbook, the fourth in the Gathering of Friends series, has at least ten pictures in the awesome gardens of Thanksgiving Point and they’re featured with items from the Emporium (drool!)

All of the Gathering of Friends cookbooks can be ordered through The Gathering of Friends website. Utah residents, head down to Thanksgiving Point and pick one up now.  It is the PERFECT last-minute gift idea.
