Stephanie Plum Series

You HAVE to Read This Series

Just finished the fifth book in the Stephanie Plum series. I know I keep talking about these books, but seriously…they’re awesome.

Admitedly it took me a book or two to really be BIG on them. Now, I can’t put them down. I’m down when I finish one because I just am not ready for it to be over. I gafaw while I read them–we’re talkin’ out loud!

If you aren’t familiar with the series, Stephanie Plum is a former lingerie buyer turned Bounty Hunter. She’s not as elusive or skilled as DOG, the Bounty Hunter, however, she seems to do all right. The books are about her adventure in capturing her Bail hoppers, who are quite the characters in and of themselves.

With each book, the author, Janet Evanovich, is getting far better at character development. The fifth book was the first book in this series where I said,”I SO LOVE these characters.”

My absolute favorite is Grandma Mazur. She lives with Stephanie’s parents and is just hilarious! I picture her looking like a much thinner version of Sophie from the Golden Girls.

I totally would stalk Joe Morelli, Stephanie’s on again off again relationship. He’s simple and yet complicated. He’s a great character and I can’t help but picture Patrick Warburton from Rules of Engagement everytime Morelli shows up in the book.

Stephanie’s mentor, Ranger, THE Bounty Hunter is also a hottie–in my mind he’s Dwayne Johnston, aka The Rock, only with a lot more hair!

It’s non stop fun and I love putting all the pieces together to solve the mystery right alongside Stephanie Plum!

Have you read this series? Who are your favorite characters and who do you think they look like? I’m dying to hear!
