She Colors My Day Project

Inspiration. Hope. Cure.

I’ve seen first hand the devastation Breast Cancer creates.

I’ve watched it take a spirit, a breast, then another, and then devour a body.

While it was claiming “Moni” I watched her family engulf her in love and I witnessed her bravery, her humor her smile radiate.

She Colors My Day Project was inspired by a mother named Annette, who like “Moni” was dying of breast cancer.

Her spirit and realization that she would soon be leaving being four daughters, inspired her to created a keepsake.

Annette sent a CD of she and her daughters singing to her many friends and family.

Annette had no idea her act of love would be the inspiration for her friend, Cristina Carlino, founder of Project Miracle and former CEO of philosophy, to ignite the She Colors My Day movement – a celebration of the never-ending bonds of mothers and daughters.

Annette had given birth one year before her diagnosis of breast cancer.

Four years after her diagnosis, at the age of 39, Annette lost her battle.

You can read more about Annette and her inspiration through the She Colors My Day website.

She Colors My Day movement is a global journey to create for a cure.

Annette’s infinite love for her girls has created a widening circle of caring that benefits the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s /Women’s Cancer Research Group, an organization dedicated to developing an early detection biomarker test so that women’s cancers can be detected years before current tests allow.

As part of the She Colors My Day Project, there is a Facebook application named “She Colors My Day  Pink Crayon” that you can send and share with your friends to help create a cure.

I encourage you to take a moment to color someone’s world today.

You can also create a slideshow to color someone’s world.

The slides will be set to the song, She Colors My Day, sung by Amy Grant.

The “She Colors My Day” song was co-written by Cristina Carlino, founder of the She Colors My Day Project and Stuart Mathis for Cristina’s daughter has been recorded by multi-Grammy award winner, Amy Grant. Download the “She Colors My Day Song” and video and help to support this organization.

A portion of net proceeds from the song supports the She Colors My Day project, benefiting Susan G. Komen for a Cure ® Foundation and the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s/Women’s Cancer Research Group.

These are small ways to give Hope.

To share a mother’s infinite love and inspiration and in the end, realize a cure for Breast Cancer.
