Review: Neutrogena UltraSheer® Liquid Daily Sunblock

70 Keeps Me Young

I was born to hibernate in the sun. Tanning beds came to my attention my sixteenth summer. I saved my money and baked ’til golden. I could be found around the pool absorbing the sun’s rays through my twenties. I scoffed at the thought of sunscreen.

Six years ago, I brought to my dad’s attention a mole on his cheek about the size of a sharpened pencil’s tip. “It looks really dark, Dad.”

He went to a dermatologist, mostly to stop my nagging. The result, skin cancer.

That tiny mole became a 3.5 inch scar on his face! I was horrified. I had never seen the results of skin cancer.

From that moment forward I have smothered myself and my children in sunscreen. I’ve hated the grease and the smell gags my kiddos.

Recently I have had the opportunity to review Neutrogena UltraSheer® Liquid Daily Sunblock. I’ve used it for two weeks and have no intention of stopping.

Neutrogena UltraSheer® Liquid Daily Sunblock has an SPF70. I’m fair-skinned so the higher the better! I wore the UltraSheer® Liquid Daily Sunblock over Memorial Day Weekend to the desert. While digging through sand for Topaz I pulled my hair into a pony tail exposing the back of my neck. I failed to apply sunblock to this naked area and when we arrived back at camp, the parts of me where I had used Neutrogena UltraSheer® Liquid Daily Sunblock were pale and supple. The part I failed to use sunscreen on were dehydrated and burned.

Neutrogena UltraSheer® Liquid Daily Sunblock is extremely sheer. I love how quickly it is absorbed by my skin and how easily it covers. It is not greasy like most sunscreens I have used in the past. It’s ultra-light and I can wear my foundation over it without feeling like I’m “melting”.

One of the things I hate about sunscreen is as soon as I walk out of the room after applying it, my husband says, “You smell like sunscreen”. After applying Neutrogena UltraSheer® Liquid Daily Sunblock there were no sunscreen comments. Infact at one point my husband picked up the bottle, opened it and said, “Hmm. This smells good.” It still has a mild scent of sunscreen, but it’s not the scent that defines me any longer.

Neutrogena UltraSheer® Liquid Daily Sunblock has kept my skin healthy and revolutionized sunscreen. It’s the sunscreen that leaves your skin almost feeling naked, but shielded from the sun’s rays!

Neutrogena UltraSheer® Liquid Daily Sunblock, available in SPF 70 and 55. It’s a breakthrough liquid sunblock so lightweight you won’t believe it delivers superior sun protection. It’s waterproof, sweatproof and won’t clog your pores.

UltraSheer Liquid daily sunblock has a water-light texture that spreads easily over skin, absorbing instantly for a weightless feel and look. It provides an even, non-shiny finish that works beautiful alone or under makeup. This product also contains Helioplex® technology for superior broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection.”

It truly does and is all that it says.
