Jamie Grace One Song at a Time Review

I had never heard of Jamie Grace and after hearing One Song at a Time I know I was missing out on some great music. If you’ve been under the same rock as I have, Jamie Grace is the newest discovery by five-time Grammy winner, tobyMac.

One Song at a Time

One Song at a Time

There’s a lot to this 19-year-old. She was home-schooled in the Atlanta area and has overcome Tourette’s syndrome. She’s a Lithuanian native.

One Song at a Time is her first album. It was released on September 20. The majority of the 11 songs on the album were produced by Christopher Stevens (TobyMac, Carrie Underwood), additional tracks were produced by Arch Nemesiz (production duo of GabeReal and Dave Wyatt of DiverseCity) and David Garcia (Mandisa, Group 1 Crew).

The debut radio single, “Hold Me” has been number one on iTunes and three radio charts on the Christian & Gospel charts since its release.

Track List:

1. Ready to Fly (Prelude) 1:06
2. Hold Me – featuring tobyMac 3:33
3. With You 3:02
4. Show Jesus 3:38
5. “Come To Me” 3:30
6. “God Girl” 3:18
7. “Holding On” 3:23
8. “You Lead” 3:40
9. “One Song at a Time” 2:59
10. “1945” 3:45
11. “Not Alone” 3:19

I’m with all those who have taken “Hold Me” to the top of the charts. I love this song. It’s a happy beat. I enjoy the acoustic guitar and the clapping. The delivery is quick but with innocence and a delicate attitude. It reminds me of my children saying the simplest things and yet they mean so much!

Jamie Grace’s music is uplifting. There are great lyrics and her faith is captured with subtle undertones.

Released on November 29 is Jamie Grace’s Christmas Together EP. My kiddos loved The Chipmunk Song. I thought each of the songs captured Christmas perfectly.

Jamie Grace’s One Song at a Time is the perfect album as a stocking stuffer or to add to any music collection. You’ll find yourself listening to it over and over again.
