Watching the nightly news or browsing headlines instantly give me gratitude. There are so many individuals and families that are battling illness and tragic loss. I, and my family, have dealt with these issues and know the pain of these tragedies. I speak about this topic often with my grandmother, my mom and my husband. We have small children and their safety and security, should something happen to us, is important to us. For this reason, we have life insurance. Not a lot. The sad reality is that eleven million households* in the United States, with children under the age of 18, have no life insurance coverage.

It’s never too early to be thinking about protecting your family in the event of loss. September is Life Insurance Awareness Month. As a celebration to the families that have made the decision to purchase Life Insurance, the nonprofit LIFE Foundation has created an “Insure Your Love Picture Mosaic”. It’s amazing. The celebration continues.  For each photo uploaded, $1 will be donated to the LIFE Lessons Scholarship Program to provide tuition assistance to students who have lost a parent and need help in financing their dream of a college education. What a great cause. My nephew lost his mother and I watched the struggle.

Life insurance is an investment. It protects your family. I’ve seen so many instances, first hand, where someone dies unexpectedly and the family is devasted by the financial burden. Life insurance helps.

I will receive a gift card  for participating in this promotional program with the LIFE Foundation and MomSelect. The opinions, where expressed are my own and were in no way influenced by the sponsor. Others experiences may vary.
