Yes, I am talking about fragile dinner sets, cups, and other important household things.

The only way to keep them away from these expensive things is to lock all your cabinet and drawers.

But, drilling holes to attach a lock on each and every cabinet is not an easy task. And, it can hamper the overall beauty of your furniture.

To get rid of these unavoidable issues, you can attach a magnetic lock.

Here, I will discuss how to install magnetic cabinet locks.

HOW TO INSTALL MAGNETIC CABINET LOCKS: EASIEST WAY

HOW TO INSTALL MAGNETIC CABINET LOCKS: EASIEST WAY

Let’s start the process of installing a cabinet lock for baby-proofing.

The process is very simple. So, just read the step-by-step procedure and you will learn without any issues.

Hold on!  Before you begin following the method, you must check the following things:

1. The magnetic lock system is not appropriate for metal.

So, you can’t apply it to any kind of metal furniture.

2. You can’t apply these locks on big, heavy, and very thick cabinets.

Remember, the key works on the door up to 35 mm thick.

3. The tape only can be used on a flat surface.

If you want to use the lock on a rough or uneven surface, you should add screws to it.

Now, let’s move to the steps…

Step 01:

First of all, use a cloth to clean and dry the surface on which you are going to apply the lock

Step 02:

Mark the place where you are adding the magnetic lock.

Insert the lock catcher and the lock near that marked place to ensure that everything will work smoothly.

Step 03:

Take out the tape from the back of the catcher.

After that, slowly place the catcher on the top part of the cupboard inside the wall.

Also, make sure that it’s level with the frame edge and tight to the edge of the cupboard

Step 04:

Now, it’s time to attach the magic magnetic lock. Just remove the tape from the back of the lock and place it on the door of the cabinet.

It will stick very firmly to that position within 24 hours.

You can reposition the lock immediately if it fails to reach the lock catcher.

However, you can also use a cradle to complete this step quickly.

You can also secure the lock on its position using some screws.

Check whether the door is opening and closing smoothly.

Step 05:

Now pull the latch situated under the lock. It will activate the lock.

At this stage, shut the cabinet door and gently pull the door again to ensure that it is firmly closed.

Bring the magnet and test the lock.

Step 06:

Many people face a common issue regarding this kind of lock system.

The problem is that sometimes in hurry situations we forget the position of the lock.

As a result, we immediately become frustrated.

To avoid these kinds of unwanted circumstances, you can add a sticker at the outer part of the cupboard door.

Make sure that the sticker is placed just behind the lock’s center.

That’s it.

You have successfully learned the whole process.

You can also use the same technique for installing the magnetic lock at the bottom and sidewall of any drawer, cabinet, or cupboard.

By using these locks, you could easily halt your child from opening cabinets.

INSTALL AND USE MAGNETIC LOCKS WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM!

You should store your magnetic key in a safe place. You can stick the base of the key on the wall or anywhere your baby can’t reach.

If you have to set screws on the lock, carefully mark the right place by a pencil.

Thereafter use a screwdriver drill.

Use hand gloves to prevent all kinds of accidents while working with the screwdriver.
