Moon in My Room Nightlight Review

I was born before man walked on the moon. Granted it was only a few months before, but I’m still claiming that this amazing event happened in my lifetime. As a child, driving home was a long winding road that seemed to take forever. The moon kept me company. I was mesmerized by its light, but its changing shape and just by it.

One day a package arrived and I saved it until bedtime. We read together, Good Night Moon and then I announced I had a big surprise, I had captured the moon and was going to let the kiddos keep it. They doubted my abilities until I pulled out Moon in My Room from Hearthsong. Neil Armstrong may have said, “One Small Step for man, one giant leap for mankind” but Moon in My Room has transformed the nightlight into one small light for the room, one giant leap for fun!

Moon in My Room is a curved, smaller version of the real moon. It easily mounts on a wall and comes with remote control, giving you the power to control the twelve phases of the moon from Waning Crescent through Waxing Gibbons and on to New Moon! This one-of-a-kind nightlight is powered by four AA batteries (the remote requires an additional two AAA batteries).

The lighting is awesome and Moon in My Room has a feature that takes the moon through its twelve phases automatically. Included with this miniature moon is a CD that brings to life the moon with its craters and seas on an audio adventure.

The Moon in My Room includes these awesome features:

•Remote controlled Moon with 12 light-up lunar phases.
•The Moon is designed to be mounted on your bedroom wall (you can choose from 3 different orientations).
•You can control the Moon phases manually or leave it on automatic.
•Comes with a CD which contains a 15 minute guided tour of all the magical areas of the moon.
•Suitable for ages 6 years+.
•Moon In My Room requires 4 x AA batteries and 2 x AAA batteries for the Remote Control (batteries not included).
•Size: 26 cm x 26 cm x 6 cm.

The Moon in My Room has Wow! factor and truly has sparked imagination in my children. They are fascinated by the moon and the authentic detail has them asking questions about the moon. They love to set their Moon in My Room to look like the real moon outside and are learning the name of the various phases.

I find myself tip-toeing in at night to watch the phases and recapture those moments of my childhood.

Hearthsong’s Man in the Moon retails for $34.98 and will bring so much curiosity into your home–plus it makes an amazing nightlight!
