How to Make Cupcake Apples

A festive fall cupcake the looks like an apple. My kiddos love these and they are incredibly easy.

How to Make Cupcake Apples Supplies:

Cupcakes

Can of frosting or your favorite frosting recipe

Bahlsen Waffeletten Cookies

Red Sugar

Mint leaves or fondant colored green

How to Make Cupcake Apples Directions:

Pour red sugar into bowl.

Mound the frosting on top of the cupcake. It doesn’t have to be perfect nor smooth.

One by one take the cupcake and turn it upside down into the red sugar.

Roll the cupcake around to form the top of the apple.

When you have all cupcakes dipped in the red sugar, begin inserting the Bahlsen Waffeletten cookie into the center (It will become the apple’s stem).

Your “apples” should look something like this:

Finish off with a mint leaf or cut green fondant into a leaf shape and place next to cookie stem.
