My girls are obsessed with hair accessories. It’s their gateway to diva-dome. Their latest infatuation is thanks to Marianne and Mary, who started creating elegant hair flowers to wear in their own hair to share with their daughters, their friends, and their friend’s daughters. It was the beginning of Coco Penny.
We own a lot of hair flair; however, I was in awe at the simplicity when Coco Penny arrived. They are versatile beyond a head of hair, and my girls clip theirs to everything…headbands, clothing, hats, and necklaces.
The beauty and simplicity of Coco Penny are evident in the small white circle flower we received. Circles layered on circles forming a beautiful flower. Leaves of green, then accent them. The center of the circle flower is elegantly enhanced by a small and very simple shell button.
My girls hesitated for a moment. They think foo-foo and big, bold bows rock the hair, but within a few minutes, even they were captivated by this flower’s modern twist on hair candy. It’s small, and while it’s not as dramatic as some of their hair candy, it is a classic beauty. The Beauty Queen told me it was like a girl who was even more beautiful without makeup. I tend to agree.
The small white circle clip is available in six colors: white, yellow, cotton candy, gray, medium purple, and lime green. They are all beautiful and, at just $3.50, worthy of double ponytails or accenting a french braid.
Coco Penny has a wide variety beyond the small white circle. The Divine Miss M loves the violet cluster, while The Beauty Queen thinks the Sweet Pea is perfect for anyone. If those two aren’t impressive, take a peek at the Gardenia, the Rosette, the Daisy, or the Peony. There’s truly a garden of beauty waiting for everyone.
I love the flower sets. Coordinating flowers to wow any hairstyle. Two of my favorites are the Pretty In Pig Tails #1 and Sophistication Flower Set No.2. There are also Jersey Rosettes, Chiffon flowers, and some gorgeous metallic flowers.
Beyond their beauty, Coco Penny works well in The Beauty Queen’s long and very thick hair.
Coco Penny also stays in The Divine Miss M’s thin, fine hair. I love this because typically, finding a hair clip for The Divine Miss M is a labor of love. Clips tend to slide out, and she comes home from school or parties with them in her pocket.
I love that Coco Penny works for both girls and their diverse hair!
