Cinco De Mayo Fiesta Coffee Recipe

Saturday marks the celebration of Cinco de Mayo! It’s the 5th of May—ole!

Save the tequila for the margaritas, and spice up your Cinco de Mayo fiesta with a slightly spicy Mexican Coffee recipe from Eight O’Clock Coffee.  It’s sugar and spice and everything right to wind down your celebration—or the perfect kickoff to morning.

Ingredients

  • Eight O’Clock Original Blend Coffee (enough to make 4 cups)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup chocolate syrup
  • Whipped cream
  • Cinnamon sticks (optional, for garnish)

Directions

  • Combine coffee and cinnamon, and brew. In a saucepan, add millk, brown sugar, and chocolate syrup and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Pour the coffee into the saucepan and add vanilla, stirring until combined. Divide the coffee mixture into 4 cups and top with a dollop of whipped cream.  Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
