Charlie and Lola Slightly Invisible

My children love Charlie and Lola. The animation is different and their accents are British, which fascinates my kiddos’ ears.

Slightly Invisible cover
Now Candlewick Press releases Charlie and Lola, Slightly Invisible.
The book is about Charlie and his friend Marv.
They have invented an invisibility potion.
They prefer to use it without Lola, Charlie’s little sister, interrupting.
It isn’t meant to be as Lola enlists a bit of help from her invisible friend, Soren Lorensen – not to mention a tea set, a rabbit, a stroller, and of course one or three glasses of pink milk- it turns out that the strange and tricky creatures have met their match in one very resourceful, inventive little sister.
Charlie learns that visibility is relative – but Lola’s quick-wittedness is crystal clear – in this absolutely new picture book from Lauren Child.

It’s a great book that brings home the lesson that siblings stick together.
Whether Charlie and Lola are new to a child or fans of the BBC series, this book is a delight!

Kids can bend the arms and legs into any pose for hours of fun. Each character speaks their signature opening line from the book, video, and TV episode: “I have this little sister, Lola. She is small and very funny,” says Charlie. Responds Lola, “I’m not small. I am BIG!”.

Charlie and Lola bring home the standard that siblings stay together. They encourage if there is an issue, to work it out together through communication. Charlie and Lola have great imaginations and I love every lesson they share!
